I graduated from Shadle Park High School in 1994, and then enrolled at Multnomah Bible College where I studied in the Biblical languages program. I eventually transferred to Moody Bible Institute and graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree with an emphasis in Biblical Studies. I am presently pursuing Graduate studies at Bethel Seminary where I hope to complete a Master of Divinity degree.

I met my wife Jenny in the summer of 1998, and continued to see her during my final year of college. We were engaged December, 1999 and married in June of 2000. We have three beautiful children, two daughters, Hannah and Adelyn and a son Elijah.

I first attended New Hope in September, 1999 after completing my studies at Multnomah and moving back to Spokane. For the next several years I worked for Premera Blue Cross in a variety of capacities, but at the same time maintained a high level of involvement in the ministry at New Hope. I worked to start a youth ministry in 1999, became involved in the worship ministries in 2000, and in 2001 began preaching on a more frequent basis. Then, in February of 2002, I was called to serve New Hope as Senior Pastor.

My main role as Senior Pastor of New Hope is to serve as the visionary leader and primary teacher of our congregation, and my goal is, “to prepare God’s people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up . . .” (Eph 4:12). Our vision is for a ministry of discipleship, so that the focus of my time is in the teaching of God’s Word and development of ministry leaders. My areas of specific ministry include Bible teaching, small group leadership, pastoral visitation, AWANA, and I serve as a member of our board of Elders. In my spare time I enjoy spending time with family, reading, shooting and golf.
