Men of Valor

Mission Statement

To develop men that are following Christ and discipling each other, by creating opportunities for Christian men to befriend, fellowship and encourage each other in a safe, wholesome and fun environment.  These friendships will lead to deeper relationships where growth in Christ will bring about maturity, honesty, transparency and accountability to each other and to God.

Recent Events

The Men of Valor recently sponsored two activities with great participation.  The Men of Valor invited the whole Church Family to join them at a Spokane Indians Baseball Game on July 16th.  A total of 75 of our Church Family enjoyed a great time of fellowship while rooting the Indians on to an exciting victory.  We also consumed mass quantities of Hot Dogs, Sodas and Ice Cream Sandwiches throughout the evening.

Then on July 24th, the Men of Valor held a Scramble Golf Tournament out at MeadowWood Golf Course.  It was a beautiful day as 28 men played in the tournament.  The day started with some golf lessons on the Driving Range given by Mike Griffith (a local golf instructor).  Around 9:00 am we hit the course and played 18 holes of golf followed by lunch in the clubhouse.  After lunch Mike Griffith spoke to the men and shared his faith in Christ.  Lastly, prizes were awarded for golf skills.  The team with the low score of 68 (4 under par) consisted of Glen Schweikert, Andy Schweikert, Hugh Severs and Lee Doerschuk.  The winner of the Longest Drive on Hole #2 was Cary Edwards.  Scott Carver won for the Closest to the Pin on Hole #6.  Cary Edwards picked up another prize by winning the Closest to the Pin on Hole #11.  The winner of the Longest Drive on Hole #16 was Hugh Severs.  There were also some prizes given away in a random drawing.  Hank Anderson, Pete Brown, Kyle Spillman, Les Spillman, Eric Hinnenkamp and Josh Hinnenkamp all won prizes.
