I have lived in the Spokane Valley most of my life attending the Central Valley school district in grade school and Valley Christian School during Junior High and High School. After graduating in 1981, I immediately began working at Valley Hospital and Medical Center in Food and Nutrition Services. I attended Spokane Community College receiving my Dietetic Assistant Certification in 1984. I met my husband Glen while we were both working at the hospital and we were married in August, 1983. We have two wonderful kids; Andrew, 21 and Rebekah,19.

I came to know Jesus Christ at the age of 6 at a family camp. It was there that I learned “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life”. (John 3:16) It wasn’t until later in life that those words actually traveled to my heart and I realized that it was my own personal sin that put Jesus on the cross and that he died to save me. His love is real and I accepted Him as my Lord and Savior and since that moment I have learned to trust Him with my life and to walk daily with Him. A favorite verse of mine is Jesus’ own words found in Matthew 11:28-30; “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.” This leads me to “I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want. I can do everything through Him who gives me strength,” (Philippians 4:13) because He has said “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness”. (2 Cor. 12:9).

Our family started attending New Hope Bible Church the summer of 2006 and has been blessed by the loving people here who genuinely care about one another. It is a privilege and blessing to be working in the church office and to offer administrative support and encouragement to our pastors, leaders, and congregation.
